Couldn't agree more, can't stand him. The program was ****e anyhow, but it is totally unwatchable now.
Colin Murray was one of the few journos to make an attempt to properly understand our situation and to support us in our fight against the owners. He still does. He can grate (maybe accent, for some) but he knows his stuff and provokes good comment. His replacement on Talkshite was a big step down, IMO. I have watched this new line-up and enjoyed the format and delivery; far better than previous versions. TWT.
Never got the hate for Murray. I think he's alright. Particularly from City fans, considering when he was at talksport he constantly bashed the Allams whenever our club came up. The FL Show has improved massively since it started on 5, it was a ****ing shambles at first.
Judging by the second half display he had a positive affect at half time. Silva did the same last season and I doubt either manager adopts Ferguson's exterminating angel approach.
Maybe not seen him for a while, but I didn't even recognise him sans specs. He seems alright to me (and the few times I've heard him he's spoken well of City), although I do like accents per se I do find that accent, in general, a bit intimidating (conditioning from being born in the 70s perhaps?)
Don't think you can knock Colin Murray. He seems to do his own homework and not rely on the soundbites found online. He had in an in-depth knowledge of Forest Green because he went to see what they were all about - he knocked the commentator and all other journo's who are making the easy 'Vegan' 'Eco-warrior' comments due to their kitchen only supplying vegan food. Normal Burgers available on matchdays to fans...how does he know...because he loves the game and went to one of their home games to experience it for himself. A lot of commetators/journo's could learn a lot from him. Michael Gray was decent too.
