Just went to congratulate them and their board is deader than the Skate's...shame, was looking forward to bit of text banter with them!...
During our first season under Liebherr ownership in 2009... Brighton and Hove Albion, AFC Bournemouth, Huddersfield Town and Southampton were all in League One. Now we are ALL Premier League clubs.
Everyone says "what a terrible way to lose" or words to that effect, but they had 120 minutes to win it and created next to nothing.
Bournemouth won the league. Huddersfield stumbled to the end. Early days I know but i saw this game as the battle for who will come 20th.
They did, but I have to agree that I can't see them being strong enough. You never know though, plenty of midtable sides from this year could easily be in a dogfight next year.
It would be extremely foolish for the PL to underestimate Huddersfield. I think Wagner is a superb manager in the making. With investement in the squad they can certainly compete in the PL IMO.
Need to score more goals though. To finish where they did in the league with a negative GD is astounding really.
Reading won the league when we went up. West Ham went up in the play offs. It's pretty irrelevant how you go up, it's what you do WHEN you have gone up.
We will see. In my opinion they need to recruit a lot over the summer but for congratulations to them and really looking forward to having them in the league next year. Have to say that the league next year seems a lot fresher already with Brighton and huddersfield up and losing the likes of Sunderland and Hull.
