Yeah but if they're in a higher league then they're more likely to get through 2 rounds... well in theory at least <laugh>

Only one round for league cup next year though with no Europe <ok>

What is that for him now, in under 10 years? Five sackings, and two resignations before sackings could occur? Only Twente first time around has gone well for him. When will people stop employing him?

Anyone know why Fulham suddenly changed the penalty taker yesterday ?
That 16 year old kid , playing in his debut game , scores 2 , his team are 3:1 ahead with seconds to go .... the kid wins a penalty and walks up to take it and complete his record breaking hat-trick only for some other guy to be told to take it ---- and miss !!!

The game was already won why prevent the kid from creating history ????

I remember that nearly happening to one of our youngsters (Surman?)....he walked away clutching the ball and the other players stood up for him. Luckily he scored.

    Yep....found it. Surman.

I think I was at that game, didn't we win 5-2 or something?

Agreed. Nothing much to be gained & bragging rights don't count when we're that far apart. And I certainly don't want to be playing them again in same league.

Yet the '84 cup match is your 'favourite Saints game' ?

I enjoy them. Have a bit more 'edge' to them and the wins feel a lot better than other games. The atmosphere when Rickie equalised in cup game and Sharp put us 2-1 up was incredible. Really enjoyed the 3-0 with the beauty from Pahars too.

Plus, we owe them a hammering.

I got all nostalgic reading that. Is it too late to transfer Andrew Surman back to Saints.? :)

Warren Joyce has been sacked as Wigan Athletic manager after less than five months in the role.

I was 14, didn't go but is my favourite memory of a saints game from my youth. We beat our rivals in a run to the semi-final with a last minute goal, with a lot of my neighbours and friends being pompey fans.

I hate being at the derby as it is vile and an evil atmosphere. Pure poison. I wasn't going to go to the home championship game until they announced the "bubble" approach. How sad that I nearly chose to miss a game because I didn't want my son to witness some of the things that go on.

    What's so difficult to understand?
