Fair play to Spurs. Made a game out of this.

Worst we've played for a while. The win is the main thing though.

Tottenham was always going to be a tight one - we did well to edge this one.

I said on our board to Bodkini, I was surprised at how defensively Conte seemed to set you up. We are on a miserable run of form and are 3-4 key players short of a full strength team so I thought you'd put us to the sword. We simply ran out of ideas and steam in the 2nd half and individual errors (Dier not closing Pedro down, Dembele repeatedly giving the ball away in central areas) led to your goals. Our season just hasn't got going still and we're almost in December. Very worrying.

Winning even when you don't play so well is the hallmark of title-winners. United managed it umpteen times under Fergie. I think we'll have to settle for aiming at a top 4 finish - the title will be a step too far for us again this year.

good that some of you see the ways and reset your expectations.

Good luck for top 6 though, because top 4 will be too tight especially when we are also involved for the G Spot this season <ok>

See what I did there, level headed expectation - no pressure <whistle>

Moses looks like the player we bought from Wigan and Some.

Luiz is very good. However he is sometimes too casual in possession & Cahill isn't as good as Azpili in stabilizing.
Only bad note for me in the Defense.

Am really loving how Moses, Luiz and Pedro have become vital players for us this season.
Moses has been a revelation, and Pedro, I wouldn't have batted an eyelid if we'd flogged him in the summer.
And I wasn't ecstatic about re-signing Luiz either, but all 3 have become immense players for us.
Its good too because now we don't need to rely on just Hazard and Costa to have a blinder and grab the goals, Pedro and Moses chip in as well.
Also how good is Kante? I don't care how many goals Costa gets or how many pieces of blinding skill Hazard pulls off.....Kante should win Chelsea player of the season.

The man is all over the place, winning balls, heckling players.....we would no way be top of the league were it not for him.
You only need to look at how Leicester's results have gone to **** since he left them, to see how much of a difference he makes.

I was impressed with the way Luiz spent a few minutes saluting the Matthew Harding lower tier after the game. He seems really up for winning the Premiership. He's been immense so far in the middle of the back three. As for Moses - I was mightily impressed with his 20 odd foot knee skid in celebration of his winning goal.

As for the Spuds, they looked a very good team with some neat incisive passes in the first half. They must have been really pissed off with that superb equalizing goal from Pedro just before half time. By half time the Spuds needed to have been 2 or 3 goals up after expending so much energy to have had any hope. Second half the Chels really took control of the game with a few frantic moments toward the end where the Spuds pressed hard for an equalizer. All in all, a great game to watch.

Indeed, Kante is a revelation. I have never before seen a player be able to dispossess a fellow top flight footballer of the ball so easily without committing a foul. An incredible skill at this level.

Well you edged it and fair play to you but really there was nothing much in it . Surprised you didn't
Spank us because of a weaken first 11 and poor form . A very quiet home support , Why ?
If all are fit and no euro games you may be surprised .

    Chin up

Good call Sid, we didn't play as well as we have because Spurs didn't let us, simple as. 2-1 a fair result, Spurs botched some chances, and so did we. Both teams look much better than last year, hope we both crack top 4 to be honest, my Spud son in law will be much easier to live with !!

Was going to say the same thing!
    They look worse if anything.
No creativity, They are defensively solid, but look a little toothless up front.
