Match Day Thread Fluke aka SPUDS at the Bridge

We should stop Fluke aka Spuds for good and open their "Loss flood gates" finally.

They should be closer to bottom 3 than top 4 but for the ridiculous ways in which they have gained points throughout this season.

Will replace Pedro with Willian.

wilian would be a better fit at wing back for my money.

but he'd be better than pedro for sure when on form.

It'll be hard, tottenham are a damn good team and very well drilled.

They also like to press high up which our back 3 just will not like at all.

Spuds are so underwhelming and robbed teams of undeserving points thus far in the league.

 

It is true Spuds have been a bit "lack lustre" of late, but they still own the best defensive record in the league, (True at time of writing). We have the second best defensive record but have a far better goals for accumulation. Thus, I predict a very close game, with us just edging it, same as I forecast when we played Everton . I watched the game tonight and whilst Monaco were good, the Spuds were opened up down the wings and by a speedy frontline (Falcao excepted) and never pushed up above their own third of the pitch. except for the full backs that went missing and indeed were too far forward when needed. It is hard to see how they have managed to be such a defensively sound team so far on tonight's showing.

 

To great extent Wanyama & Alderweireld - are key for their Defensive stability. You take them out they will struggle.
Without Toby they are using - pretty much park the bus tactics. Nobody bothers if Smaller teams like Spuds do that.

Spuds will be very motivated. Poch even rested most of their first 11 mid week to prepare against us.
Obviously he knew CL is lost cause.

We need to be extra careful. we cannot let our guard down just because some their luck is running out.

It's been over 26 years since Spurs won at the bridge. They are without Aldierweld and have been a bit shaken of late. On form alone we should win and I can't see any change from that. Chelsea have been absolutely flying and will be extra up for this too being a derby.
More importantly Chelsea seem to be enjoying their football again and are playing for each other.
I can't see past a 2-0 victory at the bridge with hazard and Costa doing the damage.

I would almost bet on that in the next couple of games, the way he is playing it cant be far off.
