Makes sense - I should imagine Cottrill would have played a big part if true.

Rumblings was on OTIB (one team in Bristol) which is another forum with lots of member and his name has been going back last year. But nothing until the 1st June as something was happening.

    5-6 million from a top 6 championship/ premiership club,

10 million from a small club like Birmingham

As things stand, I can't see Bryan leaving - it seems as though LJ rates him, and he's a local lad done good, so you'd like to think he'd have an affinity so would take a lot to tempt him away.

I know you don't rate him RR, but I think he's still young and already has a lot to his game. He could do with improving the defensive side of his game, but it is true that the modern full back is almost more of an attacking player.

...besides which, we haven't been been linked with a replacement left back for weeks.

Not that much though; it was pretty recently you said we should send him on his way. Unless you've had a change of heart (it's alright, you're allowed to!)?

Didn't we have 'no official bids' for Tomlin, right up until we saw him holding a Cardiff shirt? I'm not being a conspiracy theorist or anything, yet reminding myself that the club are likely to keep their cards close to their chest (as they should) and that l wouldn't rule anything out completely.

Joe Bryan does not play as a winger for BCFC. There are barely any wingers left in football. Modern formations are making the position redundant as wingers have nil space to operate in. Alright when teams matched up 4-4-2 v 4-4-2, but that has ceased to be.
