Sorry to say I think we will go down 3-0. Hoping I am very wrong and being far to pessimistic

Liverpool today!

Last time it was this fixture we won 3-1. Maybe we can have another home win and keep the Brit a fortress!

I would love us to win of course but would be happy with a draw. It may depend on which Louis Suarez turns up and whether Sturridge plays. We are capable of getting a win and Liverpool haven't beaten us in the PL at the Brit since promotion so let's hope we do the business. I would be happier if Bego was in goal though. Any news as to when he may return?

If we had the full squad available I would fancy this but they are playing well and we haven't so i'm hoping for a draw without any silly dismissals as I think Mr P will have a game plan for next week.

 

5-3 currently with about 2 mins to play.

Exciting game, but still a bad loss for us. Thought that we were playing quite well at 2-2.
But gone down hill after that faux pas of a penalty decision, with Sterling handballing in the build up and Wilson getting the ball, another shocking referee decision!

 

Palace next.

I feel that we will win, as Jerome isn't playing and he was probably their best player on the counter vs Spurs.

Plus TP returns!

 

If we play like we did today we will win it. Not many score 3 good goals against Liverpool. Chins up and KTF.

 

What a cracking game, im sorry but I dont rate wilson and I cant understand why muniesa didnt start. I cant wait for huth to come back. Im loving watching us this season.

Wilson isnt a defender, the fact is that Pulis brainwashed us into thinking he is/was. We are thin in the CD department and it was probably the best we could have done, but I agree he was poor and ultimatley cost us a share of the spoils. I would like to see him given a run in the holding midfield position, but for me he is at best a squad player used for cover.

 

With most of the bottom 5 facing tricky games this weekend Tony Pulis must be targeting our match to get out of the relegation zone so Palace will be up for it this weekend. I've got nothing against Palace but would love us to win just for purely footballing reasons.

 

I have everything against Palace, they are the competition. I just hope TP plays the game as he would have done had he still been the Stoke manager - i.e. for a draw. He may still be of the mindset that a draw would be good enough at this stage, a win for us would a decent amount of day light between us and the relegation zone and hopefully allow us to relax and play football.

 

I have looked at some stats re Palace and typical TP stats with the ball are way in their opponents favour. But, they are doing OK.
On Saturday I hope we can thrash them, but in honesty it won't be that easy unless they sit back and soak up pressure.

The Palace game is very interesting IMO and I am looking forward to it. The fact that our ex-boss is in charge adds extra spice to what was already a very important game for both teams. Before TP took over Palace were going down. They have seen a bit of a revival since he took them over but I still think and hope they will be relegated.

However, it's Stoke they are playing and on their own turf so who knows what the outcome will be. In fairness we ought to beat them even with the players we have missing. A win will move us further from danger but we also have the ability to come unstuck in games like this. I think a win for Palace would be embarrassing for us especially with TP as their manager. What the man did for Stoke will always be appreciated but he had reached his limit for us.

I really hope we win tomorrow. Come on you Mighty Potters

 

The Palace game is big for my family.

Mum's side of the family are Palace supporters and my Dad's side of the family are Stoke supporters.
