I know it's hard for us all to accept as it's human nature to want to keep progressing but I just can't see how we can, however I'm hoping Hughes sorts our 4 nil thrashings out before the start of next season as they are totally unacceptable.
Yes indeed and the Welsh Wizard has no clue what to do about it. As much as I admire SJW...his day is done. Same forWhelan, Crouch, Johnson, Imbula (who he), Bony and the guys out on loan. Can't blame the slacker Shaquiri (sp) as he only plays for Switzerland. Assuming we are mathematically certain of safety...and that will probably be down to other teams being worse than us - then Hughes and all his yes men OUT
True Smithers...we really do not seem to be progressing over the past 18 months...despite spending a lot of money for a club our size. Appears no cohesive transfer policy and whoever is responsible for that needs instant dismissal
Even I am getting concerned now. I like Mark Hughes and have never called for him to go but over the last 12-18 months we have not progressed as I would have hoped with the squad we have. I don't watch them 'live' of course but from the reports I read and the team selections I am beginning to wonder what is going on. No goals scored in our last 5 away games and we seem to have been stuck on 36 points for ages now. I thought we would walk it to 40+ points and hopefully we will still pass that total but with just 7 games left and Liverpool and Arsenal to play at home and with our current away form very poor I can see a maximum of 4 points being taken which just gets us to 40. Sunderland are gone and so are Middlesbrough in my opinion but the others are closing the gap to us and we could end up 16 or 17 with our current form. Something ain't right!!
Certainly is PP...Mr Hughes. One of his problems is that has for goodness knows how long surrounded himself with Mark Bowen and the nodding dogs. No disrespect to nodding dogs.
Hello everybody, looks like we are in a bit of a pickle, think we will be ok but needs to be sorted before next season.
He should know his best available 11 as he gets to see them in training, I know we have had some injuries and the Africa cup but so have most teams. For me he should get the back 6 playing as a cohesive unit first and work on some interchange ability then work it forward from there. It may not be the most exciting to watch at first but we won't be getting beaten by four.
Progress to where though?, we all know football is a funny game and you can't expect us to progress every year on a steady curve. Our best season will see us challenging for 8th. This is the first bad spell we had since Hughes arrived and for people to be calling for his head already is wrong imo. This is virtually the same squad that has hit 50 + points a year so why doesnt anyone ever criticise the players? . It's all to easy imo when things aren't going well to just say get rid of the manager and history has proven it's not always a good move
I agree re the players and I've always expressed my dislike of players dictating a managers demise. However, the old guard have not been moved on under Hughes and some of the money spent has not seen a return on investment. My main concern on Hughes is that he has never known his best eleven IMO.
