    Or have you just multiplied 7 x 3 to make 21 and added that to their current pathetic total and then looked to see where that would put them now without considering the points the other teams in the division would also acquire on a best case scenario for SunderlandNil?

    Theoretically they can still finish 9th on goal difference, even taking into account games that teams above them have to play against each other.

    In other news: Theoretically I could win the lottery on Tuesday night, Obi could win slimmer of the year, Albert could discover fashion sense and Pouchy could stop being a ****. Ok I've gone too far......

    Updated after the West Ham game.

    Despite the equaliser, that has to be seen as two points dropped in the grand scheme of things. I think best case scenario for Sunderland will be that they need 34 or 35 points to survive. Those two dropped points today mean they will probably need to win their next four games and then win at either Arsenal or Chelsea to stay up. Even that might not be enough.
