I seem to be the only person who thought The Lego Movie was utter dogshit. Laugh? I didn't even crack a half smile. I really don't know what I misunderstood with that one.
I enjoyed it to an extent. Only saw it the once though so no idea how repepated viewings hold up. I can see completely what they were trying to do, and though some parts I didn't like, I thought overall it wasn't too bad. Maybe ironically, the best scenes were the ones with real humans in it. The Lego Batman movie is definitely better, but that's mostly because they have much better material to work with.
Yeah saw this when it was released last week, reckon I'll be watching. Dunno if he's endorsed it, he normally doesn't.
Just started watching the Sonic Highways series on Netflix following the Foo Fighters recording tracks in different cities round the US, and a bit of music history in each one thrown in ****ing brilliant viewing Washington episode was superb. From Chuck Brown & the Soulsearchers, to Bad Brains. And a section on a gig which must have been legendary. Troublefunk supported by Minor Threat...incredible Recommended - 5 stars
Dave Grohl is just a ****ing legend. He's one of the most likable people you'll ever meet, I can tell you that from experience.
Yeah. The trailer was crap. Didn't expect much but it was quite enjoyable in a switch the brain into neutral sort of way. Beckham didn't even look out of place in it. For a 2 hour movie it kept up a good pace throughout. Really expected to hate it, but didn't. Korean subtitles didn't add much to the movie though. Seems a very fashionable addition to films I watch these days. Not sure I see the point, when they are speaking in English. I can't even speak Korean, never mind read it.
It had a feel of game of thrones as in the way they spoke to each other, ****, **** etc... with 10 mins or so to go I thought they wer gonna make a part 2, then he kills the bad king and it's all over, I thought the ending was a bit crap but the rest was quite funny..
Slim pickings on the plane but squeezed a few in: Life - was alright, essentially avoiding an annoying alien in an enclosed space for an hour and a half. Passengers - quite enjoyed it actually, with J Law looking pretty spectacular. Michael Sheen put in a good performance, as he is want to do. He's essentially a much better Hiddlestone. Kong: Skull Island - as daft as you'd expect but visually pretty spectacular, and I'm not a fan of overly CGIing it.
If you see Nicholas cage in the cast. Don't watch it. It's a rule that's served me well for many years ref.
Raising Arizona is great. The Rock isn't that bad either, considering it's a Michael bay film. Also it's technically a Bond film. Or at least it was meant to be. Really, if you see Nicolas Cage in the cast but it came out after 2000, It's likely garbage. Still had a couple of somewhat decent flicks after that year though.
Well, he did win an Oscar for that. I bet most people nowadays wouldn't believe you if you said he was a Best Actor winner.
