Not really that bothered about cars But like I say I've had many vw s Now kuga But I like BMW Maybe 5 series You know it's all right liking any car but it's really the car you can afford Other wise I'm not too bothered
Same as mine mate, the back end steps out if i nail it on a bend so no idea what it would be like on grass, there's just too much power going to the wheels. Think mine has 354bbhp with the same torque as yours, ****ing **** loads. Saying that, there's no way i would venture off road anyway so no worries, it's good fun on tarmac and will easily keep up with Porsche Boxters and Caymans in a sprint.
Mate, RWD is absolutely sound in winter once you've had them a few years and you're used to it, they are far more stable. I've had no winter drama since the very first day of frost in my first ever When I ended up facing incoming traffic ****ting my kegs. Mines a petrol, the diesel is a better engine now but I have a mental block for diesels for whatever reason, I love the box in the x-drive as well and generally I hate anything but a full manual. This is the best car I've ever had, I've also got a 2003 E46 Coupe, which I bought to track day and decided I lived it and use often. Its worthless really but it's one of the last before electrics stopped you enjoying it and it's great fun. Cost me like £1500 probs worth a lot more now as I've fixed it up and it's a 330 with only 55k on it, and it's got every option. I just ****ing love them.
I was like that mate, unfortunately a lot of the so called faster cars only come in auto now. Audi's S & RS range only come in Auto, even BMW's M range come with Auto as standard now. Although you can have the manual fitted if you spec a new one. I'm used to my auto now although i still go to change gear sometimes, but if you want more control you can use the paddles to change gear when you want to. My neighbour is the M specialist at BMW Durham and brings all kinds of M's home, but during the winter he's usually got an X5 or an X6 as he reckons they're safer.
This isn't mine, but it is identical to what I have. I'll never buy another black car ever. it looks great when it's been washed and polished but two minutes down the road and it's frigging minging again. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Them wheels would put me off buying it, are they aftermarket wheels or standard? The car's nice enough but the wheels spoil the package for me, like the ones on the Golf GTi, circa 2007... they looked repulsive, for an iconic car it deserved better. I love black mind, not too fussed about the dirt, much prefer it to my car colour, which I didn't choose I'd like to add.
Nah mate they're standard to the SQ5 and although they do look better in the flesh, i'm still not 100% happy with them, but at two and a half grand for a new set, I think i'll stick with them. The problem with the car and dirt is cos of the square back shape, it just hoovers all the crap off the road and it sticks to the tailgate. And being shiny black it looks horrible mate.
My favourite car was an Audi A3 S Line - but it came with a job that I hated, so it had to go I would love another Audi, but Christ, they cost a lot I'm fine with my Golf now - basic 1.4 model. Its all I need. Can't be bothered driving far these days
More great cars from the past. Rover SD1 with the V8 3.5 engine. Ford Granada mk1, Sweeny style. Rover 90 with the rear suicide doors. London taxi, I had one once. ****ing big car but had the turning circle of a mini. Ford Pilot V8, beast of a car for it's time. Mini Cooper. Standard Vanguard, big beast of a thing. Just memories from my past.
Just found out last night that the missus has bumped mine still waiting for the pics to come through but it can't be good, she hit a bright red bollard that she never saw???
Always had fords since I was 17. Main reson being that my Dad works for Ford and I don't pay for labour on repairs! But he's nearing retirement now so I'll probably look at others! Strange thing is - my Dad hasn't bought ford cars for around 10 years - says he gets sick of working on them so wants something he can't fix! My Boss just got a Skoda Octavia 2.2 vrs automatic - for what they are they're naughty in sports mode
I'm out in Africa for the next 3 months so should have calmed down by the time I get home, should have The good bit about it, if there can be a good bit, is that now she can't sit there and critisise my driving anymore like she usually does.
