Looking at the possibilities for Round 1, most trips look a long way, but we seem to have a few closer to home: Neath, New Saints (Oswestry) then St. Patrick's Athletic (Dublin), Cliftonville, Glentoran. Actually, I'd fancy Fuglafjørdur in the Faroes or even the 2 Icelandic clubs.
I really don't mind who we get. In some ways close to home would be good from an expense point of view (although I think this would exclude the Faroe Islands, close as they are and fascinating as they would be to visit). Having said that, Neath wasn't looking very exotic even before a Welsh team joined the premier league! Another interesting thought is what are the fans from the other first round teams thinking? I think they might be saying "I hope we don't get Fulham. They're a huge team from London who got to the final last year! We wouldn't stand a chance against them!" Makes a change from how some of our nearer rivals see us.
