Undecided tbh. A good cup run would be lovely but there`s no doubt it carries risks we can ill afford.

An outing for the bairns I suspect.

    edit: I didn`t mean that young ^

Play the kids cos I've a feeling Burnley will field a similar side, unfortunately the Cup has become a unwanted distraction to us these past few seasons as we needed all our eggs in another basket so to speak.

For a completely unknown reason my first kit was a Man City one. I lived in Washington at the time and supported Sunderland. I never found out why. punishment?

Can't afford to take it seriously. Short has seen to that by letting us close the transfer window with a 19 man squad. Can't risk seniors, if injuries get any worse they'll be U23's we can't risk. Sad day when we can't treat the countries main cup competition with the respect it deserves. New low.

Personally I don't see the Cup as unwelcome as I do not have mindset that it could lead to a distraction but rather that it could be good for the team as it was '73. We were close to the bottom of the league then and needed a lift and we got it with just a couple of new signings.

A game is a game, and it is just as easy to get clobbered in any game no matter what the competition. Use the Cup to take the brakes off and go for it rather than be bound by too many restricting tactics.

I know mate. Just brought back memories of my unusual first kit. My mate at the time had a Tottenham kit (again, reason unknown). Must have been around 1981.

    Play the kids.

Can risk a single knock or suspension to any first teamers.

    Sad state of affairs really.
