Well after watching Arsenal & Liverpool field reserves and Under 18s maybe its time the FA said first team only or no team. The Premier League have abused our football and history for too long and maybe we should demand a Champions League place for the FA Cup winner and only have 1st, 2nd & 3rd qualify from the league. The gates have been shyte as nobody wants to pay on top of season ticket price to watch, just look at Cardiff ffs on telly empty stadium. Ban Prem clubs from entering or sort it the fook out
It makes No sense. As shearer said, only takes Six games to win the thing. You'd imagine they'd put an effort in for six games
I don't really see how anyone can criticise the likes of Arsenal if they still progress to the next round. They had a strong enough team out for a team of Preston's quality. Warnock stated beforehand not to expect a strong team against Fulham, but does anyone think a strong side would have had much of an impact on the attendance? Really is a dreadful draw when you draw a nothing club from the same division. He actually surprised me at Leeds how serious he took the cups as QPR were always dreadful. Would be absolutely against rules determining team selection, do weakened sides not contribute to "upsets" anyway, magic of the cup and all that? Champions League place would be good, although doesn't seem to employed anywhere else around Europe.
No upsets when 2nd & 3rd string kids turn out for big prem clubs, Liverpool kids were playing seasoned pro's 3 leagues below but were held. Not an upset. Prem clubs are turning the FA cup into the Johnsones paint Pot trophy and someone needs to get a grip. Bournmouth were smashed yesterday because they played kids so not a cup upset as it was a joke game
Bournemouth made 11 changes against us yesterday - even with these changes the value of their starting 11 was £45M That's right - Bourmenouth's reserves cost £45M FFS - The world has gone mad!! Perspective - their reserve team are worth more than Leeds, Millwall, Charlton, Wigan, Rotherham and Burtons entire squads combined
Totally agree Doc, however, bit hard to criticise when Monk does same thing. When Monk does it in LC and FA Cups, you can see he ain't taking'em seriously, and that's not only a contributing factor to the point of your post, but also a worry....
Now that's just daft TC. Using Milwall and Leeds in same sentence. It's like implying we're on a par some way. We're light years apart
All the clubs he mentioned are much bigger than soon to be groundless millwall. Wednesday should see the next nail in their demise. #renewalaremillwalllegends
The big Wally selling point there for a while was they owned their ground and we didn't, or that was their story anyway. Looks like another of the tc fairy stories coming back to bite him. No wonder the others have packed it in
They're less real on tcs Fifa12. Not sure he's the right one to have running your not606 brexit campaign
Only reason for that is that our players are owned by us and yours are borrowed - With this new co-owner of yours, you might be catching us up in the next couple of seasons!!
You cant borrow that crap. First someone else would have to own them or want to own them and then they would have to have some value to loan them. It is far better to loan quality with an option to buy than to sign and own ****e. Dont think youve realised just how bad you really are. Stay tuned in to our continued progress and itll gradually dawn on you
LL the difference between Monk and clubs in the Prem is Monk only has minimum squad and therefore he has to use his best players for league matches. one injury and he has to shuffle the pack. Liverpool have 22 first team squad players but even used the third team which is U23 development squad. Big difference. we dont have 22 first team players we have 16 of which most are kids and then we have younger kids. The FA are spineless and allow the Premier League to walk all over them. FA Cup is the worlds oldest and best competition but it has been debased. They used to do this for the League Cup but not as much now just the FA Cup as it clashes with their plans. The league should set itself up around the FA Cup, of dont have the Prem clubs involved
Trouble is Doc, the FA Cup winners get £1M prize money - Staying in the Premier League is worth £100M.
