This game has shown how we struggle without the wing backs. Davies and Trippier are good defenders, but they could both do with an "Nkoudou" to provide the pace we need. When we're not playing 352, and our first choice WB's aren't playing, GKN and another equivalent player on the right hand side should get the chance, IMO.

Totally agree. A very good performance from young Harry.

Just said the same thing to my mate. Winks was superb IMO.

Onomah did well there. Son should make more of it, I think.

  6. Good to see Colin Calderwood back at the Lane. Top bloke!

**** first half, better second. GKN looked impressive. Great Scorpion (or giraffe) header from Davies, he's got some neck.

Not sure we even need two outright wingers, but we need some pace and width, at least.
We might not have enough of that sort of player in the squad, which would explain some of our transfer rumours.
Might not want to block Edwards progress into the team though, if he's as good as has been suggested.

Haha this female reporter interviewing Tripper and Davies just called Trippier "Kevin". <laugh>

GKN and Sissoko should be able to do that job, without signing anyone. Or Edwards, as you say.

Sissoko always looks poor when he's out wide, in my opinion.
Lamela's a better option, when he's fit. Finally.

He's no winger. Today should have been made for him to dominate the centre. It just didn't happen.

At least we haven't got a replay like the mousers, that's not going to do them any favours. We started too slowly and probably deserved to go behind, but just edged it in the end. After the Lord Mayors Show as my old grandfather would have said.

Anyone know when the draw is? That could have been our last ever FA Cup match at WHL.

The draw's tomorrow. It's on BT Sport before they show Cambridge Utd v 'orrible Leeds. BBC2 are also showing the draw.

The game's at 7.45pm, so I'd assume it's about 7.00pm. Should be on the iPlayer, I'd have thought.

If I was writing the script, we draw l'arse at the Lane, knock them out 5:1, get drawn away every other match and go on and win it. It would make a fitting end to the FA Cup at the Lane.

Stan Collymore going on a Twitter rant about Villa being a bigger club than Spurs! <laugh>
I think he might actually be Holte Legends, the lazy, stupid, woman-beating waste of talent.
