    We do it so often. There are many things that we can feel proud of our support for, but on this issue we are often an embarrassment. We seem to find it very easy to write people off, and then we're surprised when ex players come back to haunt us so often.

    A very poor result and not the team selection I was expecting.

    Another year, another Cup exit.

    We're never going to challenge for the Premier League Title again, so we simply MUST focus on the Cup competitions.

    It's our only chance of ever lifting silverware again :(

    As a Sunderland fan (not here to take the piss) I completely agree with this! Wish someone would focus on the cup competitions - unfortunately, the cup competitions are only really good for the fans - prize money is utter bollocks now for both the FA and (even moreso) the league cup.Think you get 1.8m for winning the final of the FA cup. That's why clubs herarchy and managers don't really care enough.

    I'd love someone to come in with a massive prize money deal for the cups - the big boys wouldn't dare put out their second string if it meant the winners made £20m! Never happen unfortunately (unless my little business venture I have gets a few hundred million backing)

    You're absolutely right, but I ****ing hate it that you are right. It's the FA cup!! That should be incentive enough!!

    Any team who doesn't play their best 11 totally deserves to be dumped out at the earliest possible opportunity.

    I hate it too man! It's so sad that the cup competition everyone wanted (even more than the league title when I was a kid) has been devalued so much.

    By the way - can I screenshot the bit where you say I'm right and send it to my wife - she thinks I'm always wrong!!
