Well I will risk maybe being unpopular with my thoughts but to me the League & Europe are far more important and although the FA cup has a lot of credibility. I strongly feel it’s time to bring out the 2nd X1 for this match and give our main team a rest, therefor I would field this team.
( CR would never be brave enough! ).

    Schmeichel

    Simpson - Hernandez - Wasa - Chillwell

    Mendy – Ndidi - James - Kaustka

    Musa

    Vardy

Subs:- Ziegler. Morgan, Gray, Drinkwater, Ulloa. Okazaki, Albrighton or Huth

CR has announced he will be choosing his strongest team - will be interesting to see what he picks.

    For me:

    Zieler

    Simpson Hernandez Wasa Chilwell

    Kapustka Mendy James Gray

    Okazaki

    Vardy (back to match sharpness)

Are ndidi and the other Africans unavailable now?

Think Ulloa will start with Vardy. Perfect game for Ndidi to start his career with us. No midweek game so see our normal back 4 with a toss up between Fuchs/Chilwell

Nigeria didn't qualify for the African Cup on Nations so Musa and Ndidi are still with us.

Schlupp didn't get picked so he is still with us as well.

Looks like it could be a 4-2-3-1 like Chelsea play.

Coming back from a goal down to win the game - haven't done that in a long while.

Ndidi? Excellent news. Did they say anything about his play? E.g. His passing? Tackling style?

He broke up play well. They did say he played like a tall Kante. Mendy also had a great game.

I'm away today so didn't see it but have been impressed with Mendy recently.

So is it sounding like Drinkwater and Ndidi are the best combo? Or this midfield trio might stay?

Hopefully 3 in midfield will stay whilst we have players away. Vardy should be back next week, but it would be harsh on Musa not to start.
