Zorya Luhansk? Surely that's a porn star? Although not great news that we are scheduled to visit a club which has to play its home games in another city due to the Ukraine rebels and a city where there have been four fatal terrorist attacks in the last eight months.
It was looking good till we drew the mystery Ukranian's. This comp is ok but for the Thursday ****. Was offered tickets to consecutive games at Old Trafford, Arsenal or West Ham. Had a look at the other fixtures and decided that Arsenal game would be moved to the Sunday as it would meet the 'super' criteria so decided that I'd have the West Ham as Chelsea V Spurs would more than likely meet the super criteria. Well, I backed the wrong ****ing horse there right enough. The Arse game is Saturday (albeit 12.30) and West Ham is Sunday at half four ffs!!! I ****ing hate Sunday games. You either don't have a beer ans dive home or have to take Monday off (me being a plastic glory hunter who no longer lives local and all). Having said that, we're live most games anyway, being in the EL just ensures that it will be mainly Sunday's and not Saturday's. We actually had a few Saturday at 3.00 kick off's during the dark van Gaal period last season. That was novel.
24 Top 2s + 8 CL failures = 32 teams So one more round than the CL knock out phase. 4 ties before the final !!
It's no more a 'distraction' than the CL itself surely? It's a mid week European group/knockout competition. Apart from it being a day later, what is the difference?
Winning the CL is prestigious, winning the Europe is not quite the same, nice to win but nothing exciting (for UTD anyway), especially when a top 4 place means CL and its getting harder to get a to 4 place now.
Yep, deal with it footballers. When you break it down you're looking at 1st class flight 5 star hotel bit of footy then a trip back.
Fergie went out to win every competition every season. He made a point of it. Why the **** should we change that mentality??? I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if Mourinho doesn't do the same. In fact I'm sure he will, just look at his record at every club.
Pogba and Zlatan in Europa League You have to wonder why both players left contenders for pretenders.
