I quite like the enigmatic smile that Leonardo is trying to convey to the punters, but if he were to make me view it without a girder in the way, I would have to say Oi, Leonardo...No!

It depends on the quality of the girder though surely?

It probably hasn't, the home fans in the Kop will say they outsang the away fans every game, it's just that the sound doesn't carry across very audibly. Away fans make more noise than home fans without exception anyway, but there are very few (if any) who are as vocal as Leeds. What's so distinctive about it? The fact that no other stadium would look exactly the same if you sprayed the seats a different colour. Do that to the Kung Pow and it could be any old stadium.

Yes, but that's an abuse of the analogy. :emoticon-0110-tongu

I'm sure Leicester fans have never been violent to opposition supporters ever, anywhere.

If you haven't noticed all those stands look the same when people are in them...

And I've never heard of the Gelderd End, sorry, and I watch a a lot of football. Probably because you've been **** (as have we) for quite a while now.

It's also to do with my age, I know, but my point is, you can have the most unsymmetrical stadium in the world, it doesn't have character, and the stands don't become famous unless a successful club is playing at them.

I don't buy ahy of this 'character' bullshit, I've been to old grounds and new grounds, old, unsymmetrical grounds are just as **** as new ones when nobody sings in them. Luckily, we sing at ours <ok>

    1. It is blue, and it says Leicester City on it, so your point is?
    2. Who cares if it looks different to all the others? It looks ****!
    3. As we've said, it's very likely that we'll have either 1 or 3 stands with another tier on, so it won't be symmetrical and will look different to any other ground. Will that shut you up?
    4. You really think we give a ****?

And that's the bottom line, - we don't care whether our stadium is symmetrical or not or whatever. I love Filbert Way, and you love Elland Road. Of course you love it, you've been going there for all of your footballing life, it's the home of the team you support. It's exactly the same for me.

You talk about 'memories' that a stadium has - but a 10 year old going to Elland Road for the first time wouldn't have any memories of it, no matter how old it is. The only memories you have are your own, if Leiceter still played at Filbert Street I'd still have the same amount of memories.

Come, come. We're far worse than Millwall.

It's been known as the Gelderd End and the Kop since the 60s, surprised you haven't heard of it since we've been one of the most publicized English football clubs around in the last 50 years.

Lucky we have had famous teams then, which must mean we do have character at our ground. And I don't buy that there's some intrinsic link between 'nice stadium' and 'good team' to be honest. Why are they so inseparable?

They're far better than new-builds when the whole place it rocking though. It's how football should be. There are German clubs who have recently-built stadia which have character: take a look at Dortmund for instance. Shame that English construction companies have built them nasty and cheap.

Big club = big fanbase. Departing League One has nothing to do with a club's size.

    <ok>

That it's utterly unrecognizable. Paint Anfield's seats blue and a layman could still identify it as Anfield; paint Elland Road's seats red and it's still clearly Elland Road. Paint the Kung Pow's seats a different colour, on the other hand, and it could be any old drone dome.

    What looks **** about it?

It will certainly be an improvement. Will still probably look tacky and soulless though.

If you didn't, you wouldn't be arguing with me about it.

There's things about Elland Road and things about Leeds United that I don't like. However one thing I'd never dispute is that my team and my club and our stadium have a character and personality which will never be destroyed.

I'm not talking about the memories of individuals; I never saw Don Revie's great team but their legacy lives on. Elland Road will forever be the place that that greatest club side in the world once played. That's character.
