Kallis really was special, not just batting at No.3, opening the bowling but also an exceptionally good fielder. His record marks him out as the top all-rounder in the modern era at all levels... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Kallis
SA 205-7 at lunch, after TRJ takes 2 in 2 (including yet another first ball LBW playing no stroke, this time from Philander) and Moeen removes Morris with the final ball of the morning session. We're well into the bowlers now. Three more wickets this afternoon would do very nicely, whatever the stoic Elgar does at the other end.
Perfect. I'm on a conference call with a bunch of senior execs (all South African) at the moment. I probably have to stay on mute....
This is an odd test match. Don't think England can **** it up, but this second innings isn't very convincing.
Moeen batted superbly yesterday. A little bit more of the same this morning and a target of 400 plus should be plenty. Weather forecast not good for day five.
Great 3-1 series win. Moeen man of the series. England go above the Aussies to No3 in the World. Lovely jubbly!!
Can't complain about that series win, very convincing. I wonder what a five day test match would be like.
Fantastic from Moeen - 250 runs and 25 wickets in the series. If I heard it right on TMS, this has only been done 7 times before and NEVER in a 4-match series.
25 wickets sounds a lot (and it is) but when you consider that's 25 out of a possible 80, it's even more impressive. 31.25% of all wickets in the series fell to him.
