Not really public - said it to me. Respect those that can't see themselves working with Corbyn deciding to stand down. Irony is he will probably be gone by middle of June though.
Corbyn has peaked already. Speaking at a Labour rally in Croydon, with a specially selected audience he actually spoke rather well. Let's see what happens when he goes up North.
When Labour has young incumbent MPs standing down in places like Middlesbrough & Hartlepool you know they are in trouble.
@SuperChrissyisfantasticPardswasatrocious Jim D has announced he is standing down in Forest Hill. I spoke to him earlier - he hopes to be called to the Bar.
Jeremy certainly looked happy at his rally earlier - given a rapturous standing ovation even before he had spoken. Unfortunately the audience were handpicked Corbyn supporters It's just the other 25m people who are going to vote that he has to convince now #TheHardBit
I was at Sunderland Road celebrating his first win 25 years ago. I'd just spent 4 days replastering the kitchen-diner, and needed a reward. He took the seat fro John Maples at the second attempt. Maples was a sore loser, and made a very ungracious speech.
Did my work experience down there. Be interesting to see who replaces Jim now - it's a comfortable seat but I'm sure Jezza can **** it up somewhere.
His 25 year old son Seb is going to be gifted a safe seat apparently. So are two of the staff in his office. So much for anti establishment Jezza
Doesn't he just love the adulation of the Corbynistas? As one traditional Labour voter said "He can lead a protest but he can't lead his party". Apparently when the election was announced he spoke at a meeting of the PLP, and notonce did he mention Winning, or the concept of winning. I don't think his fans are really interested in winning That happened already when he made Sami Chakrabati a Dame in return for clearing the Labour party of anti-semitism. Any body think he's trying to copy the Trump campaign?
I couldn't name the leader of the Lib Dems until around a month ago. Corbyn seems to think identifying problems is the same as policy. I don't agree with much of what May says. I can't vote for any of them without feeling dirty. Will vote for the minister for chocolate if he makes a grand return to my constituency.
Our local MP is Joe Johnson, brother of Boris. All I know about him is that he is universally regarded as a nice chap, and he will win by a landslide. Never heard of him doing anything for Orpington.
No 'e' there in Jo. As you know, I canvassed for him after he was adopted in 2010. Huge brain, if a little diffident for my taste.
