It's really simple. Success on the pitch comes from the players and management. Failure to provide adequate resources for these personnel is down to the CEO or owners. How do you equate these two statements with the clear fact that this has been the most (on the field) successful period in the clubs history? Also who appointed Bruce and Silva? If you want to put up an argument about other problems at the club, fair play, but you must accept some positives as well.
The Allams appointed Bruce on the advice of Peter Chapman- they didn't have the knowledge themselves. They appointed Silva, having reportedly ignored his agent's initial approach to them last summer.
Let me edit that for you: "The Allams appointed Bruce" and "They appointed Silva" does it matter how? Not sure what you point is. Your comment was that you were struggling to see any meaningful input from the owners.
Does it matter how? Only in the context of 'they really know what they're doing'. They don't. They are out of their depth with football decisions. Others have told them who to appoint. At least they have the good sense to know this, but not the good grace to say so.
Let's see if Escab has the balls to knock back approaches from Watford for players or holds them to ransom...
How come one of the many business geniuses we have on this forum hasn't just bought the club? You're clearly already successful, because running a business and making millions is just about being nice to your customers, you clearly know how best to run a football club too. You'd already have a replacement manager lined up, who would be instantly a fans favorite and a tactical genius. Our best players would be staying and you'd be buying some top quality to flesh the squad out. It's a license to make money too, the FA, PL and sponsors just throw huge bundles of cash at you, more than enough to run a successful team, and make squillions too. You're not just letting yourself down with your selfishness, you're letting the City and the fans down too.
So you give them credit for appointments they didn't initiate? They even rejected the original application from Silva last summer. Any credit must go to Peter Chapman and Silva's agent both of who got the gruesome twosome to make sensible decisions. Something they don't manage off their own bat.
I think posting this happy you just give others a chance to get wound up. As bob says everyone's sick of it. It's been reasonable discussion today, stewey looked daft tho. But he was always motivated by the colour of the Allams from day one. Bring concessions back, use city more. Done. The lack of name on the badge won't matter if they do the above. I like the badge but know the politics behind it.
I've never ran a business, nor am I a millionaire. I also have never been elected to Parliament, by your analogy myself and the vast majority of the voting public should wallow in our selfishness come June 8th. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Nobody thinks it's off their own back. Of course they have advisors, every club will ffs. Do you think they said give me just one name?? When Bruce was appointed there were ITK posters on here categorically stating it was billy Davies. No doubt he was talked to.
Everything good that's happened was someone else. Everything bad is the owners. Epic argument. I said about 2000 pages back it was wrong, and I'm pleased to see some can spot the difference between bitterness and bollocks. But for some stupidness we are in safe hands, and we are lucky to have seen such success. Sort of harks back to what we have read elsewhere about the club needing a bit of love, some setting aside of squabbles, and things could work because we aren't far off well run otherwise.
The vast majority of people I have ever encountered have said 'back'. As for the rest of your post, I have no idea what you are talking about.
It wasn't difficult. The Allams wil have met a few candidates and had the final say on who to appoint.
Why are you saying any of this to me as if I have a) stated something on the topic previously or b) care?
