The point I was trying to make, possibly badly, was that there was ample time before the Chinese were involved to strengthen the squad-Ehab can't just blame them for the message got us into
I quite agree, I do remember it being reported that one of the Chinese was sitting in the office with Ehab. so obviously happened to some degree, but it is a convenient excuse to trot out.
A very good interview that. He came over as sensible, honest and balanced. Strangely not at all like the "colouring in book half-wit" the forum propagandists would have us believe.
But if he was selling, and he was, why would you spend twenty million on new players. I doubt the chinese would pay for them and wouldn't up their price for the club if Ehab bought them. So we were, as fans, in a nightmare situation.
Agreed I think part of it was trying to get rid of Bruce. But they were in talks in July with the Chinese. So it was a bit of both.
Catastrophic leadership in every aspect. Objective no. 1: sell the club Objective no. 2: if no sale, ensure stability by strengthening squad, Objective no. 3: back Steve Bruce or appoint a new manager in time to secure new players before start of season. Objective no. 4: avoid relegation and devastating reduction in selling price. FAIL, FAIL, FAIL and FAIL. They've ****ed up both on and off the pitch. If he wasn't the owner's son, he'd have been demoted to working on the till in the club shop long ago. (And that's disrespecting most of the youngsters who do that job- a lot of em have the passion.)
See above. They did sell the club. The FA rejected the deal. The deal to sell was done. They weren't going to spend on the squad mid negotiation as they wouldn't get it back. Unless the Chinese agreed to it.
Well I've listened to what he had to say .. some decent sound bites in there .. not sure what he thinks the Hull City way is tbh as far as playing styles considering we had 3 managers in 12 months all with differing styles .. However it's a start .. interesting that he suggests 2 weeks to get a manager in .. i wonder if he is awaiting the result of the Championship play off to see if Wagner or Stam can be persuaded ? I doubt it but it would be a shrewd move
Let's see how it pans out first before casting too much judgement shall we .. I'm not a fan of the boy blunder but I am of the opinion he has to get this right to make us a saleable asset to achieve what they think is a fair value and get us back up
