Good god, the worlds gone mad!
I am so not liking what is happening with these crazy transfer fees right now.
Money has already impacted so negatively on the sport and this window feels dirty and corrupt.
The money being bandied about is simply obscene and this is from the heart, l really hate what's happening.

Jesus wept. That is taking the piss. Safe and steady, industrious, English midfielder. Worth about a quarter of that.

    It's disgusting.

Those spineless ****s at Fifa, Uefa, the FA, and PL need to do something quick or their prized goose will implode.

Well he's played well with kante and will do matic's job. 3m less for a player doing the same job I s'pose. He was quality in that title season.

Crazy though I think he is better than some credit him. Had to come away from Man U to make something of himself. Deserves for where he has got to. Poor mans matic but reality is he is just back up to that French kid who they reckon is better than matic (I'll reserve judgement as I think matic is quality)

Good player and underrated IMO. The season Leicester won the title, he didn't make it to the Euros with England and we lost to Iceland....but it was Woy picking the team <doh>

If this happens the fee is absolutely ridiculous. Having said that this is why I like Conte. He's not necessarily impressed by big names and flash haircuts. Just looks at what he needs to carry out his plan.

For many clubs, money is now becoming irrelevant.
They spend what they need too, to maintain there status.

It's a bit like a jigsaw, they have most of the pieces, but need to replace one or two that are missing.
The money is in the bank, more than enough to replace them, so they spend over the odds if needs must.

Then there are clubs like NUFC, where the jigsaw is literally in pieces, many missing pieces at that.
The money is not in the bank it would seem, so we cut our cloth to suit, whilst looking on enviously at others.
The simple fact is football has moved on, and we had better get used too it - that one season away from the PL, gave the likes of Burnley, Bournemouth etc a £100m leg up on us.

In financial terms we were relegated at the worst possible time in the history of football.

Transfer fees have gone absolutely stupid. Drinkwater will be far from being the worst value for money this summer though. He's worth the stupid money as much as anyone else is - which is to say not at all.

They have, which will be used by MA to excuse further underinvestment on what is required for NUFC. Then next season when we're back in the Championship we wont have to worry about these silly fees so much.

Well we spent big on relegation last time.
In hindsight this club has mostly done better when we don't spend money since the Robson days, which confuses and irritates in equal measure
