    Mr van Gerwen has produced photos of me being under the influence at any away game. This has led to Mr May saying that I have a drink problem!

    Well come on then people, come clean, who else has a drink before the game and how many would you normally have?
    <cheers>

    When I was single I used to get pi55ed on several pints of whatever local brew I could get, which is why my memories of earlier Charlton games are a bit hazy. Nowadays I have chips before the game.

    I have given up drinking alcohol. I now have a draw on a crack pipe before every Charlton game, I find it helps.

    Betting shops are more my thing - my claim to fame is that I have been in at least 3 betting shops near to every ground I have visited.

    Some grounds are not particularly well endowed, but Exeter was superb in that regard, 4 near to the stadium.

    On the betting shop front, I am very reliably informed that a current member of the Charlton team has a very heavy punting habit :1980_boogie_down:

    If you do hit a run of form perhaps you can treat yourself to a new suit, that blue thing is atrocious.

    You lot need to 'man up' and get a few drinks down you before the game.

    I remember going to Luton when closing time was 2 o'clock, 2 of us got in the pub at 5 minutes to 2, and ordered 8 pints of the Abbot (5%), got them down and still got to Kenilworth Road for kick-off.

    I don't know how anybody can watch it without being inebriated. I certainly couldn't.

    Especially when you lose 7-1. My only clear memory of that game was Roger Kirkpatrick (he of the sideburns) taking pity on us at 7-0 and awarding us a penalty for no apparent reason. I believe our MOM was Jeff Wood, who made several great saves.<ale><ale><ale><ale>

    Plus if you bump into the darts player you have little recollection of the shock.
