Best chippy in town?

Haddock and chips, eat in yesterday. Superb and bursting at the seams.

Anywhere compare in town?.

Downeys 10/10 for me.

 

Colemans up Shields is belting as well.

Just opened up a new gaff as well.

 

If I want good fish and chips I always go to Coleman's, top notch mate.

 

Love Downey's but also love Crozier's on Newcastle Rd and Tommy's in Doxford Park shops.. Not sure I could choose between them..

Was down downeys about 6 weeks ago with our lass and daughter. Was lush and we sat in to comm. Can't wait till downeys open in pallion.

I like tommys to so it's a hard one. I love both

 

Queens cafe in Seaburn was top notch.
Not far from Morrisons.
Dykelands Rd I think.

 

Harry Ramsden in Amsterdam , the que of cloggies is normally about 20 or more, take a while to get served but Lush, place is immaculate as well. Whenever im missing home , i nip in for a fish lot, all the staff so far are Brits as well,so far?

 

Croziers is top drawer like, I often dive in there if I'm visiting the parents.

 

Crozier St was always the best imo. But Dowmeys has eclipsed it for me.

 

Probably a bit too near Geordie land for you guys but Paul's fish and chips in Jarrow is amazing. One of the best I've ever had.

 

Nowt wrong with Jarrow.. Plenty of red and whites from that neck of the woods..

 

Well there's quite a lot wrong with Jarrow but it's all the better for my presence . Paul's is bloody lovely though. As is the Chinese take away there near Morrisons.

 

They're the ones who were dropped on their heads when they were babies.
