Being reported that Van Gaal has twice previously offered his resignation but Ed convinced him to stay lol.

Reason being? Well because if LVG leaves then so will Woody for hiring him in the first place.

Maybe not entirely. I think the actual problem is that (pains me to say it) I actually agree with the first two sentences of CFC'S post on another thread. That being, the club is a shambles and the Glazers are lost without Fergie pulling the strings.

Where's the scouting? Why isn't someone telling Woodward that there are good players out there without the names Neymar, Ronaldo and Bale?

That Austin and Ashley Williams (for instance) are more than capable of playing for United to a high level and you won't have to pay them half million quid a week?

Woodward, right at the top of the tree, DOES continue to embarrass himself and the club. He's as useless and complicit in the state of the team as the gonk he employed to manage it.

Woodward is basically a commercial director,an extremely good one at that.
The issue at Utd is the lack of any "football" men who are able to make any actual decisions to influence whats happening on the field

This is true. I know it would supposedly destroy any manager to have to work under Fergie but I think Giggs could cope as manager with Fergie as the main football sage at the club. Woodwood can stick to buttering up sponsors.
