Looks like Xisco is making a name for himself at Muang Thong Utd in Thailand. Should we be sending Carr on a scouting trip? http://www.espnfcasia.com/blog/foot...nited-flop-xisco-finds-redemption-in-thailand
Our club crapped on this young lad ! He scored on his debut and was never given a chance. I also remember he played well and got an assist coming on as sub when we beat villa 6-0
I remember hitting the post against Leyton Orient and getting a hat trick against Stoke reserves, found his level. tbf he would have been over the moon about getting a transfer to us - no one had heard of him and he was massively below our standard, he would have been on a fat contract paying him way more than he was worth, and he milked it.
The list is endless How about a game of **** toon players scrabble because id do better than the proper format
Viduka, Martins, Owens, Ameobi, Xisco. Yeah Keegan got a brief spell out of all of them but we should have packaged the whole lot up and flogged the lot. They were all **** for one reason or another. I'd have kept Carroll and Lovenkrands as they would be of use in a squad (I'd still have accepted the 35m when it came for Carroll) We also had so many bad buys by Allardyce. Cacapa, Rozenhal, Geremi, Viduka - he basically bought a load of decrepit expensive leeches.
And every single one of them were given numerous chances yet Xisco was given not one despite scoring on his debut in very difficult circumstances
Loved the comment in the article "he was 7th choice striker at Newcastle behind even Peter Lovenkrands and Shola Ameobi"
He was given too many games in the first team and an absolute ton of games in the reserves. He had countless chances to show if he was any good, but he just showed he was dogshit. Like Nile Ranger he was a parasite on the wage bill.
When are these too many starts ? I can honestly only recall three and him scoring once . I don't think you can say he was like Ranger because he was actually very professional in his character ! You can hate on him all you like but he joined us because he wanted to play here and it didn't work out for him and his career went downhill. I'm not saying he was great player, but he wasn't given the chance just like most youth players coming through our own set up arnt and that's why we're never producing any! You don't just run out on a pitch at 19 and play like messi or it's certainly very rare
