Having seen the name of Nigel Clough being touted as a possible manager for Notts Forest in the media I now notice that he is a non starter due to his lack of coaching qualifications.

Living so far away I sometimes miss out on the intracacies of the game and, although I realised that qualifications were important, I didn't realise that since last summer you needed a Class A or Pro certificate to be hired as a Championship manager. Cloughie is now trapped at Derby until such time as he improves his qualificaions.

I hope our board are aware of this new requirement and I'm sure they are up to speed, but are there any of the top candidates that don't meet the specifications? Are the same coaching certifications needed in the SPL because, if not, then it could rule out the top choice of a lot of us on this site.
