Don't know who told you that Dick but it's wrong. He was playing for London when he was spotted and he was also trained, playing for a Club in Brixton, by a guy I know quite well
I went to a ground I have never been to. VCD is a very nice ground right in the middle of a residential area. Pitch was good although the grass was a little long. We got off to the worse possible start conceding a penalty when one of our defenders hand balled it. We didn't have many chances in the first half. We bossed it in the second and we were unlucky to just draw, Millar scored the goal. Kennedy had a couple of decent chances and Substitute Hanlan hit the inside of the post. It really is a pleasure to watch the U21s and the U18s. Thank you, Dick. A very young side including several u18s. We have at least twelve u21s who are more mature than the eleven who started (though not necessarily better long-term prospects). I suppose some were being saved for Wednesday's cup match against a men's team. Barnes, Aribo and Hanlan did not start. Philips, Obileye, Thomas, Muldoon, Lennon and Sho-Silva are out on loan, Holmes-Dennis and Ahearne-Grant are with the first-team squad, and Charles-Cook is injured. Then there is Lookman, who is still an u18.
Charles- Cook is fit now. I don't think Muldoon is out on loan. I feel that the U21s will be the basis of our team in the First division next season. Gudmundsson, Watt, Baeur, Cousins etc will all be sold.I think Lookman could be on the bench tonight.
Last season in the U18's I always thought that Barnes and Charles-Cook would be the two to push for the first team. Seems Barnes has not progressed as quicly as I had hoped... but there is always time.
The U-21's play again tomorrow at Bromley in the Kent Cup, maybe Lookman is being saved for this rather than for MKD. I wouldn't want to see him play for the first team as it stands.
He travelled up with the first team on Saturday and will be with the first team tonight. I heard that he maybe on the bench.
Well, that's something to look forward to. A "real Charlton" team. Pity we won't have a "real Charlton" manager in charge of them. I see the following battling to a gallant draw at home to Oldham in our first match: Pope Solly Obileye Lennon Fox Charles-Cook Jackson Holmes-Dennis Ahearne-Grant Pigott Harriott That level of achievement will not be sustained, however, as our paper-thin squad and lack of experienced players takes it toll.

Now two up through Kennedy after a cross from Bergdich.
Now 4-1 to Charlton. Moussa scores from a penalty after Aribo fouled, Grant Basey scores for them. Moussa has a thirty yard drive parried which is finished by Bergdich to score his second.
There was a rumour on CL this week that Norwich are sniffing around and Lookman fancies a change. I hope that's just speculation.
Well done to the U18s. ACADEMY | Well done to Charlton's U18s, who thrashed Brentford 7-1 at Sparrows Lane this morning. Terrique Anderson (2), Trialist (2), Sulaiman Bah and Chris Millar saw the Addicks race into a six-goal, first-half lead, with George Lapslie completing the rout after the break. The result keeps them flying high in Professional Development League 2 South. Well done, lads!
