Happened to often this season. Sheffield Wed, Reading Cardiff and now today. It could end up being costly. Good point but has to be seen as 2 dropped.
But wasn't you saying the other day (and others) that we won't get one point from the four away games? So technically you should be happy that the first game proved you wrong.
Difference between safety & relegation. Dropping points like this when completely in control will be the death of us.....
Aw c'mon. No-one in their right mind is going to be happy with this. 3 ****ing nil up away from home with very good chances to make it 4-1 and/or 5-1 and we still only get a point ???? Johnson should be sacked on this latest capitulation alone.
But although we should have taken all 3 points, we didn't get a spanking!!... I have said, LJ needs to sort out defence, No1 priority, we have no problem scoring but we leak like the Titanic.. Not sure why LJ should be sacked for us not taking our chances to make it 4 or 5-1 and conceding the goals that we did?? I see Steve Bruce isn't getting it all his own way!!
He's had two very big spending windows and over a year to sort out the defence though? If he can't sort it out by now when is he going to sort it out by? It's always one or the other, we can't score for toffee but we don't leak many, or we have no problem scoring goals (nor should we with the best part of £20 mil up front to choose from).
Defend him all you like. This is more than enough of LJ for me. Defence was the biggest issue last season and is the same story this time around. So he buys more strikers in the transfer window.
Well we haven't paid that have we, shrewd business by the gaffer.......Look what Villa has spent, 4 points above us, with possibly the best manager in the championship..Means nothing sometimes!!
I watch a team that cant defend a 3 - 0 nil lead for forty five minutes not Villa. And I was not surprised to see the Manager failing to. Shrewd that is not.
Nobody here would have predicted a 3-0 lead at half time, not many predicted any points from this game. it's 6 points from 9.....it's an improvement. Of course it was LJs fault that we conceded a penalty and LJs fault that our keeper didn't quite keep it out!!
I awoke to a 3-0 lead, had a coffee and then finally woke up to 3-3. Doesn't our manager know how to set up a team to defend a certain 3 points when you are 3 up and needing the points so badly. Perhaps that was the difference of managerial minds and why we are where we are, and that is sad. I would like to praise the point but you know how it is.
**** v Rotherham now City not being able to cash in from 3 - 0. Improvement? Professional? You might think that having to be three up to get a point is a positive. My opinion it is not.
Its LJs fault if he picked the wrong team. It's also his fault if he made the wrong subs. Again, its his fault if we play the wrong formation or tactic. I don't see how today's disappointment was LJs fault tbh - happy to bow to the wise observations and opinions of those who were there - and it doesn't shake my belief that LJ isn't the right man for the job. I just don't know, based on what I have read/watched/heard about today's game, what LJ has done wrong. His players couldn't hold their nerves - in front of either goal.
