The team that deserves to start at Derby after the Millers game. -------------Giefer----------------- Little-----Flint----Wright--Goldbourne Cotterill--Hegeler----O'Neill--Bryan --------Taylor----Djuric------------- Subs: Fielding, Vyner, Brownhill, Paterson, O'Dowda,Abraham,Tomlin
Giefer Wright, Flint, Magnusson Little, O'Neil, Hegeler, Bryan Tomlin Djuric, Tammy. Maybe a bit narrow, but let them cross and play to our back 3's strength. We are fortunate to have such a squad to pick from, the best we've had since I can remember.
Agree trouble is we have no other good enough,Matthews looked so good early season, then it all went downhill.
We have the worst two full backs in the championship in my opinion.. the problems are stemming from here on many occasions.
We require two new full backs, that is for sure. Little works his butt off.but not good enough at championship level. Golbourne is a steady eddie,a traditional full back. But will not go forward has a lack of pace.
Abraham on the bench? Can you hand on heart say that you didn't question LJ when he took him off on Saturday? Hmmmmmm
I'm with this line-up. Tried really hard to imagine a scenario where we could sneak Tomlin into the side, but this team looks far more fluid and pacey. Still, what a player to have on the bench
Honestly Nick, the whole side was playing poor,he had options on the bench, and it worked all three creating, and getting the goal. For that reason i would start the two up front.
I think Abraham has too much quality to drop (unless tired) - he can get bullied, but then bring on Djuric to test the defence's rough-housing. Give Taylor a start to give him a chance to live up to the hype - I also think Paterson could, under the right set of circumstances, bereally very handy, though he needs to come up with the goods. Dropping Tomlin is a bit ballsy, but the sas fact is that he hasn't delivered his special brand of magic nearly often enough. He's in danger of being a JET mark 2 of sorts (still loved him though).
