    I see he is just going for his medical then done deal, the twiiter gods are stating about £25m in fees... Wonder if we had the sense the include a sell-on clause, we could get a bit of a windfall?

    He has a release clause that I have seen stated as being £8m and £10 depending on which source you read. I have also read that we have a 25% and 15% sell on attached, again depending on varied sources.

    I remember Bates talking about how he insisted on a sell on percentage being part of the Delph deal ... Bates slated the previous owners for selling players without add ons, and he said always made sure that young players had add ons put in their transfer deals ... think the release fee for Delph is £8m, so we should be seeing around £1m coming to us ... how stupid were Villa to put a minimum fee that low into Delph's contract grrrrr

    I doubt he would have signed it otherwise Billy. They were in real relegation trouble at the time and it was a major surprise for Villa fans that he signed at all.As a club, you do whatever it takes these days to get a signature
