i suppose if u taffs carry on u will be really loved be stoke fans ... seriously delilah u got nothing of your own ! hope u drop like a stone !!!!!!! and that is 1 massive possibility lol All the best ye
Deliah's been sung by Welsh fans for years, both Rugby and Football. I'd rather be singing that than some of that Black Eyed Peas rubbish they were playing after the game.
Right, so you hope we go down because we had the audacity to sing a song, which happened to be most famously sung by another Welsh export...? At least I know the collective intelligence of the Premier League is being boosted by our arrival!
My first look at Not606 and some complete fail of a Stoke fan slags off a Tom Jones song? I hope the other Premier League fans aren't like this.
The song was played over the speakers by Wembley Stadium at the end of the game and we joined in - it wasn't initiated by the fans. Really sorry it upset you.
You'll have to remember Jacks there are a lot of plastic up here!.................... please log in to view this image
You plastic tone deaf potter. Did you miss the whole match and just listen to the last song sung of the whole day. Bet you didn't hear the last song sung on your day in the sun at Wembleyw
I understand Tony Pullis has a fine baritone voice, could be because he is a welshman Right then lads all together ah 1 2 1234 I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window I saw the flickering shadow of love on her blind She was my woman As she decieved me I watched and went out of my mind My my my Delilah Why why why Delilah I could see, that girl was no good for me But I was lost like a slave that no man could free At break of day when that man drove away I was waiting I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door She stood there laughing I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more My my my Delilah Why why why Delilah So before they come to break down the door Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take any more Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take any more
You do know that Stoke fans have sung Delilah since the 80s and that is why this guy is angry? I'm not annoyed or anything that your lot joined in, nore am I annoyed if youstart to sing it during games. I do hope you all realise that this poster is simply ONE Stoke fan and doesn't represent the majority of us. All clubs have bad fans blah blah blah... Anyway, good luck in the Prem, I've always prefered you much more than Cardiff
RUFC Delilah is not a song sung by swans fans, unless they are hammered and every welshman then turns into Tom Jones
I know it's not your song in general, I was just covering any grounds I may be treading ("If you START to sing it during games" for example)
RUFC You will not hear it from us, i think they played it at wembley and the fans just joined in, in reference to tom jones and him being welsh, they would not have sung it as a swans football song
RUFC All swans fans would respect the fact it is a song traditionally sung at the brittania, had it not been played on the stadium speaker system it would not have been sung at all
I think this whole conversation is daft. It´s a song, and anyone claiming to have dibs on it is a bit silly! Tom Jones has dibs on it, and that´s as far as it goes. Stoke sing it, fair play. We don´t normally, but it´s a bit of a Welsh anthem. I´m glad that I know most fans don´t have the OP´s level of intelligence.
All together now: The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train, and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa. Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green, grass of home. The old house is still standing, tho' the paint is cracked and dry, and there's that old oak tree that I used to play on. Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. [spoken:] Then I awake and look around me, at the four grey walls that surround me and I realize, yes, I was only dreaming. For there's a guard and there's a sad old padre - arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak. Again I touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old oak tree as they lay me neath the green, green grass of home.
