Aye, worse neighbours than us. When I first started to go, I'm pretty sure Poland wasn't in the EU. There was very little food in the shops, nothing for people to do as they had no money. All the young lads used to spend their time in the gym and they all were aggressive twats. Russia still think they run Poland and the Poles hate them for it. That said, it's a nice country and all the women are attractive. Well worth a visit if you haven't been.
I've known loads of poles say they hate Germany I've heard English people say it too but it doesn't mean you can say s nation either does or does not
I know many Poles and they all dislike Russians more than Germans without a doubt. I can't speak for the entire nation though. Wheel I said google it, I meant what happened at Katyn when the Russians were supposed to be on the polish side
I do believe we were still paying the bills up untill mid 70s for equipment we bought off the USA for WW2 .maybe we should of said to germany ,France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, ect I do believe this bill is yours
You can see that the anti-Russian grievance would naturally run deeper considering the Russians occupied them from 1945 til 1990, or at least seriously messed around with their country. Most of those Poles who experienced the German atrocities are long dead. As far as reparations go, we should probably not press the issue considering the **** Britain has got up to over the centuries.
It was December 2006 when we paid off the last of our War Loans to the USA, the loans were not for the actual war but to keep us going after the war, got to wonder as has been said many times who actually won the peace, there is also an element of thought that the USA quite deliberately followed policies to limit our return to major international influence that we held pre war as they wanted to take more of a centre stage having been isolationist in view pre war.
And that isn't even including all of the trade and technology secrets that we had to give them to entice them into supporting us.
