tis a day I thought about mentioning to the yanks but they are Californians so nearly french in their military ways. If you think about it the narrative of war we know says the deaths were madssive but compared to the eastern front... well theres a reason 80% of german focres were pointed east not west The thing is if you think baout the artifical harbours and pipelines being laid in on this day so long ago the industry and determination is unparalleled in todays world.
Or perhaps it is age that makes them gentlemen. I don't know. I'd like to think some of this lot today would man up if circumstances like those in 1939 occurred and I'd like to think age matures most
