So grayson will have spend the morning sorting this **** out instead of being able to prepare for a competitive game. Is that acceptable? I'd say no. You've missed the bit where he's caused further dressing room disharmony which will have to be addressed instead of getting on with what needs to be done. All for something everybody already knows. That's my main issue with it. The second is he's a drunk, don't want that at the club. I want professionals who don't go clubbing and get hammered between the beginning of pre season and the end of the season. He's a poor player who is always second to the ball, that will be his drinking imo. He's 29 and shifts like a 40 year old. Drink makes players sluggish, if booze is part of his lifestyle during the season and it looks like it clearly is. I don't want him here.
He's been drinking since before we signed him. The lad has obviously got an issue with the sauce. He's been goaded there and the bloke who filmed him hasn't done your club any favours whatsoever though.
True but that's just society. He can't just go on like it hasn't changed and moan. He needs to understand how society is now and not put himself in those situations. If the drink comes first he's going to keep on getting bitten on the arse. That's not the fault of society, it's his. 6 months he'll be gone. **** player with a **** attitude to his own career. What good is he to anyone with that lifestyle? **** him, these should be the best years of his playing career, instead it will be **** offers from league one clubs with the inevitable move the the SPL on a pittance. Serves him right.
Gibson drinks in the boozer I go to in Hale, he was in there getting tanked the day before an Everton game last season. I doubt he was in Koeman's plans mind, but still he didn't seem to care at all.
It's obvious with him the ale does come first. It's only about a year ago that he lost his licence for being rat arsed. What's the club doing about it, have they said anything yet?
They've not said anything. Don't know what that means to be honest fella. Suppose a lot of it will depend on how it's effected the dressing room this morning. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall but hated to have been a player in that dressing room.
I suppose there's 2 issues; 1. He was battered whilst he's supposed to be honing his fitness levels in pre-season 2. Whilst battered he's stupidly insulted the entire dressing room to some random who's stitched him up The first one is a fine at best, the second involves the whole squad, and he'll have to eat a truck load of **** if he's to have any future at Sunderland imho.
"Darron Gibson has not conducted himself in a manner befitting Sunderland AFC," a club statement said. Errrrmmmmm.......yes he has!
2 is my issue cause it causes an instant problem to the entire squad and staff. The first isn't bad, just shows he's got the wrong attitude and lifestyle, only 6 months left on his contract. It's a problem that will go away. But the 2nd is the last thing in the world we need to be focusing on in prep time to. Everybodies mind will be on the wrong thing. That's a level of disruption that warrants a fine and segregation imo.
Let the lad go as we now have to push on and have a decent season. First for many years its so refreshing to have honesty coming from the club. Just shouldn't have come from this lad p*ssed.....need players to set example and Gibson should know people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. The images of the pink seats to me just sums the whole club up at the moment.....utter shambles....100 million we got from last season and we have pink seats...ffs. A picture tells a thousand words...
Bit conflicted on this - on one hand he seems to have some passion to come out and say what we can all see BUT he's a seasoned (un) professional who will have had all kinds of training around do's and don'ts - do have a go behind closed doors, don't go out and get tanked up and mouth off - muppet. Added to that he's rubbish - might be an adverse reaction if we get rid though - re-inforce that you can take the mick out of the club and be a wage thief because the tanked up 'whistle blower' has been shown the door.
This knob he's at it again what gives him the right. He's a nobody. Roundup: Former Chelsea striker brands Sunderland a ‘cesspit’; Grayson in for Huddersfield man?
