Last time I went to Palace we won 0-2 at the end of the season. But Palace were already up. Paul Furlong as a scorer rings a bell????

But I won't be there so all the very best to the travelling faithful. And as second best hopefully a few of the regulars will drop by here. Always love the banter, BBs pessimism, OFH quaffing, Scullion for just being scullion, and all those who join from afar but should really be sleeping, et al. Enjoy one and all and hopefully a great weekend (forecast 24C here) will be enhanced with 3 points. Cheers

I will be here providing that I can do a few jobs around the estate before kick off. Found a special offer in the cave today of a decent enough everyday Merlot. I have had it before so know it is drinkable, but was impressed with 5 litres for €10. I am therefore ready, but for some reason never feel happy against Palace.

My last, and only, trip to Palace was way before that - we won 3-0 with two goals from SLB and one from Gerry Armstrong. It was a Tuesday match towards the end of April - and I doubt anyone will need to ask what happened the following Tuesday.

Last time I went Sasa Curcic won a penalty for CP with an Oscar-winning dive! I've predicted us to lose today, so there is some hope!

I reckon a draw today - too important for either to lose

Two changes for Watford - Cathcart & Janmaat come in for Holebas & Okaka. Capoue recovers from sickness to start.

    Looks like a 4-1-4-1 formation.

With a distinct lack of pace at the back - can see a few yellow cards being dished out this afternoon.

With Holebas on the bench we might get one less yellow without his usual contribution.

Too many players appear to be playing out of their favoured positions. Doesn't bode well.

Funny old game. Someone needs a bit of luck. Hope it is us.

Niang needs to go to the line more I think. Seems to just pass it back to Britos or TC as an easy option. But bring on HT

But far from boring. Mainly because of the niggling, arguing and arm waving, unfortunately...
