I recall going to Palace with Tiger Travel back in the day. Three coaches set out. Coach 3 set off about one and half hours behind Coach 1 and Coach 2 because of a faulty door. Coach 1, broke down somewhere on the M25 Coach 2, went to the Crystal Palace athletics stadium, about 5 miles from Selhurst Park and arrived at the ground at two mins to three.. Coach 3, the one that went one and half hours late, arrived there first at 2.45. That was, and probably still is Tiger Travel for you. We lost 2 nowt..Andy Johnson might have got a brace..
I live in London but have been away for a week. Just got back and my tickets haven't arrived (or did and have been stolen, its an apartment block although never had any mail stolen before), ordered them around the 3rd. Does anyone know if they should be here already?
Hahaha..Decent player...If I recall rightly Dowie was in charge of Palace and even got involved in the warm up...Him and Johnson might have formed a decent partnership. They were a right pair of ugly bar-stewards. Like a pair of gargoyles, used to frighten the kids away.
Hiya, FWIW Crystal Palace station is nowhere near the ground. Norwood Junction, Thornton Heath and Selhurst are the three closest stations and all about 10-15 minutes walk.
You lot on TT no dilly dallying at the services, get down there as quick as you can... in the ground and lets give it all we've got..
Oh Tiger travel. The memories!! Like the time we went to Watford last game of the season in 2005/06 or somewhere around that time. Shame is one of the coaches never turned up at KC and we had to decamp down Hessle Road to the yard to get a coach. When we get there their was a coach but no driver, luckily one of the fans had the required licence, so he drove us to Watford. The M1 was jammed, and we arrived about 20 mins after the kick off. I recall the Watford fans clapping us on the way out, due to the number of City who had turned up for a nothing game...Drew 0-0
Charlton away in the Automatic Promotion season. The ONE TT coach went the wrong way to the ground, 3 hour delay on the M11, got there with 10 minutes to go to see Jay Simpson miss an open goal, and subsequently, a 0-0 draw in the pouring rain. Good ol' Tiger Travel.
We're in a hotel in Croydon. Good news, Justin Whittle is stopping here, bad news, the Goolies are too, good news, no Guzzler! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I remember going to bristol rovers on a bank holiday, they played home games at bath and with it been a bank holiday the traffic was horrendous, all that way and we arrived at ht. Forty five minutes then we set off home again
