Hi comrade In fact Murray used this legal scheme illegally. Technically he didn't use an EBT at all as the money paid out should have been a loan but, as the numerous side letters prove, they were not loans but earnings. It doesn't matter if Rangers COULD have just paid the money. They, in full knowledge of what an EBT was, hid earnings from the tax man. To do this they had to defraud the SPL by lying in the registration if their players contracts. Juninho had an EBT. But did he have a side letter? The side letter or second contract is a major issue in this as without it there is no case. Thanks bud.
Hi m80 EBTs were not illegal. Kidding on that what Rangers were doing was an EBT, kind of is. If you earned from an EBT you're doing it wrong. Thanks muchacho
Thought so... nothing unlawful has taken place, just that the Revenue decided to retrospectively deem that tax was due. As a proud bead-rattler, stripping titles for admin errors is cheating.
No mate. You're not getting it. Did you even go to a Catholic school? The side letters prove that Rangers EBTs were in fact NOT EBTs. The side letters were not registered so they could defraud the taxman. Even if every penny is paid back, the side letters exist and Rangers should have faced a 3-0 defeat for every player playing in a match. Luckily Juninho lost most of his anyway. Utlr
St IRA of the Apostle of Columba born and bred. The EBT's were in the Holding Company accounts and declared as such. You still looking to cheat the Huns out of titles due to admin errors? Brilliant stuff, wouldn't expect anything less from a fellow tottie howker
They won the titles on the pitch - end of story. Your Protestant father would be spinning in his Presbyterian casket if he could see you kowtowing these days.
Yes mate, Rangers weren't hiding the money. They were pretending they were using EBTs. You're thinking of money laundering i think. I dont want to cheat rangers i want to rape their festering corpse. Gbnfl
'Speaking as a Hun, I think we should do the honourable thing and surrender the tainted titles - after all, in future any club doing what we did will be subject to having titles stripped ... We arra nice peeps.' https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sp...avoid-a-possible-trophy-stripping-punishment/
In 2013 an SPL commission found that, during the EBT period Rangers players were improperly registered with the governing body. The governing bodies rules of association regarding the fielding of improperly registered players is clear and has multiple domestic and international precedents A simple explanation of the decision making process around the non application of the associations rules at the time would let everyone move on in peace, love and harmony. It can't be that hard, can it? If not for the SPFL, who seem to be unable or unwilling to comment on the actions or omissions of the SPL, then at least one might expect the SFA to have the ability to offer a clear explanation. Not really sure why we are having irrelevant statements about tax, legal opinion, legal mechanisms or ' punishments'.
