Could Silva and his backroom team be the making of Hernandez?

If we can play 3-5-3 we'll definitely stay up.

Only problem for Hernandez is whether he can do it as a spearhead in a 433, as that seems Silva's (and plenty of others') preferred formation. The way we get pressed back, the 433 ends up looking much more like 451 and therein lies the problem for Hernandez...can anyone get consistently close enough to him for us to get the best out of him? No doubt in my mind he is our best striker, but he isn't exactly a Benteke or Costa in terms of hold up play

There you go, are they racist, ill-considered or simple generalisations?

The only reason I've done this is because PLT decided to raise it again and seems to believe his will stand up to scrutiny and encouraged it - maybe he's right ...

    ... any thoughts?

Our second against Swansea came about because of some great Hernandez hold up play.

Two of them, certainly. The other, about the Argies, just a truism; although he failed to qualify it by saying thay are utter ****s. <ok>

Maybe that can be it done: much ado about nothing.

Easy peasy! Might even consider keeping him on if he does that!

As you know I like 352 because it suits the players we have at the moment. To really play it effectively the centre backs you have really needs to be more mobile than ours though. In todays game the big centre forward generally is not what teams play anymore, ideally I would say you want one big stopper but 2 more mobile players, who can get across and cover the right/left back areas, which is the area that can be exploited under a 352 system. In addition your wings backs have to good at getting up and down the wings bother offensively and defensively.

Two James Chester's alongside Harry would be perfect.

How's he getting on anyway? Is he meant to be playing well? Is he even playing?

I'm still not convinced about Harry, although to be fair I've not seen him live for a while as I've been away for last three home games.
I'll see how he's improved on Saturday ...hopefully

I think he's better with the ball than actually defending. I'd like to see him as a marauding midfielder.
