So Town have been drawn at home to either Lincoln or Oldham in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. You would have thought that this will be a home banker no matter who we play out if these two but rest assured Mick will do his best to fook it up! If we don't get beat we will get beaten in the replay just like last year! For god sake Mick play your strongest line up for this one and give us fans something to cheer about as we've got nothing in the league to look forward to! When was the last time that we made it into the fourth round and who was the manager? Answers on a postcard!
Yeah you'd hope Mick has learnt from previous 3rd round ties and play our strongest team but it won't surprise me if he gives others a run out. Gerks will play, that's a guarantee I reckon.
And you're right, surely we've got to win this one. I say we'll do a Wigan...win it and get relegated
Lets say Mick will RIGHTLY mix it up, for heavens sake we're H to a side three leagues lower down. I'm not saying they won't be up for it but for goodness sake we SHOULD be through - Gerken / Emmanuel / Digby / Smith / Kenlock / Hyam ( if fit ) McDonnell / Dozzell / Williams / Best / Pitman ( Or Benyu for Williams ) I honestly wouldn't put any blame at the gafa's door. We have several players who supposedly are ready, MANY saying " why aren't we giving youth a go " etc. Well, a good few WILL in a game like this and need to put in a performance that begs to be picked.
We play Lincoln in the FA Cup so prepare yourselves for a massive shock...........! We might reach round 4!
I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say we'll get a gate of 10,345 I can't imagine it'll be put on the telly, but it could be the most likely 'cupset' of the round if the BBC were interested in giving games to anyone other than ManUre, Liverpool and Arsenal.
If we were higher up in the league, then it could've been a contender for TV - but whilst we are so lowly, it won't seem as much of an upset.
The club have announced area upon area are shut - ridiculous. At least £10 a ticket, well done to both clubs for agreeing a sensible price.
