http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/ent...ntists-say-no-oil_uk_58d23ca9e4b0b22b0d1827ba According to researchers from The American Chemical Society, to make the perfect pasta you must always add salt to your water but you should never throw in olive oil. In the latest YouTube video, scientific consultant Kyle Nackers says that this can all be explained through simple science. According to Nackers, there are only three core ingredients in pasta: eggs, water and flour. As a result, there are only two main chemical components: starch (which is a carbohydrate) and proteins. This simple make-up means it’s fairly simple for scientists to work out the best way to cook pasta. “The cooking process is all about manipulating the protein and starch interactions to get that perfect al dente pasta,” he says. I had to check the date to make sure the article wasn't from April Fools Day. Seriously? K Nackers?!!
Never, ever, eat brown or wholemeal pasta. It's ****ing disgusting. Brown rice is okay, and brown bread - especially granary - is tops, but whoever invented wholemeal pasta should be ****ing shot imho.
So does curry, or indeed chilli con carne, so with a little careful planning all your ingredients can be timed to arrive at the table together
That is true, but I somehow feel the need to watch rice cooking, whereas I can just leave curry or chilli con carne to cook by itself for a couple of hours. So **** you, prick
And why wait longer for brown rice when it isn't as nice as white rice? Your argument is flawed. When you do **** off, please take that snake, fenian bastard,
Yes, don't bother. This wasn't meant to be a cookery based thread, the whole point was that the bloke in the study was called Kyle Nackers which made me spit my tea out when I read it. I thought the next article was going to be about urination by I.P. Freely or Irish double-glazing by Paddy O'Doors.
