Conte Watch

Discussion in 'Chelsea' started by Hoddle is a god, May 7, 2017.

  1. Conte, whose side are close to winning the Premier League title, is wanted to replace Luis Enrique as Barcelona boss.
    (Sunday Express)

If that's true, Conte will be off like a shot.

    Discuss.

What, like Hazard ? Barca are in for everyone with 2 legs and 2 arms, if you believe the press. Conte will be at the Bridge until further notice. Like Ranieri and Zola, this Italian puts integrity above short term gain.

    "Advantage Spuds over Chelsea"-Conte.

    Agree 100% with Conte.

Spuds are More settled, more established. Above all zero pressure to win anything.
Where as Chelsea was in transition, Neither settled nor established. 100% pressure to win all.

    Conte knows best.

He's purely a BBC gossip column believer he actually knows nothing about football and words fail him mostly.

I think you'll find that Conte being the diplomat he is was just being humble in victory. In reality Spurs lack world class players and don't have players like Hazard, Willian, Kante, Pedro & Costa who can win a game with pure skill and guile.

    Desperate HIAG.
Conte does not play Barca-style football. Poch does moreso, but he is a loser so I doubt Barca will want.

  10. Poch has made it clear that he will not go to Barca, and he has explained the reasons for that. Any attempt on your part to wum along those lines, no matter how half-arsed, is utterly pointless.

I'm not saying that Conte will go to Barca. All I am doing is making sure that we keep a watchful eye on things. I'm not here to wum.

Why would they want a manager who has won fcuk all? Barca are a massive club it would be like United hiring Glen Hoddle.

  12. Don't shoot the messenger, Skids! I agree with you!

Conte is a much better fit for Barca than Poch. I'm happy enough for Spurs to keep our current "****" manager, and let Conte go to Barca and take all the glory!

We're on the same side on this!

Correct he is a better fit but can they afford the £150 million price tag?

Neither are remotely fit Barca's profile. The club goes for ex-Blaugranes and winners, which rules Conte out and Poch out too.

Conte seems a man of integrity to me and I think he will see his contract out. He will certainly be here next year to have a punt at the Champions League.

Red tops doing all they can to derail our season this year. First it was he was being sacked back in September, then going to inter, now Barca. We've also had to deal with heavy Hazard and Costa rumours for the last 4-5 months.

It's boring frankly. Let the gossip nonsense ramp up after the season ends and there is nothing else to talk about. Although admittedly Spurs' season has effectively ended ;)

Lets be honest......with our chairmans MO, its far more likely Conte will end up getting sacked than actually leaving to move elsewhere <ok>
