We're on 9 pts, three teams ahead of us on 11 and one on 12, two on 13 and two on 14, we're still in touch.

This season we need to concentrate on beating the teams around us, luckily for us, I think that 6 teams are worse than we are. We beat one yesterday, need to beat another in two weeks and go on from there

If we can grab a draw next week at Tottenham and beat Sunderland I think that'll take us out of relegation which will ease the pressure a bit and settle the team down. I honestly can't believe how much we're missing Ash even though a lot of us predicted it to be a significant loss. If we are just out of the bottom 3 after January and invest wisely in players then we'll be safe.

Stumpy said ' This season we need to concentrate on beating teams around us " ....Laudrup said that a few seasons back and had to endure another attack from our " Rich " chairman for saying it .

We've got no choice this year, we've lost to all the top Clubs! We've basically got to turn last season upside down and start beating the mid table sides.

unlikely .. but at the same time you can have an undefeated season and get relegated ( ever since 3 points for a win that is )

In the 89th minute when we were 3-4 down to Palace, winning 5-4 seemed unlikely ..... <laugh>

A huge win for the Swans in a massive relegation battle with Sunderland, which followed on from a 5-0 thrashing at White Hart Lane last weekend.

Our stats are now starting to improve, with 7 points from the last four games adding a tiny bit of respectability to our pride as we climb off the bottom of the table.

One thing that Captain Bob has managed in the last few weeks is pick up points where we didn't last year. Wins against Palace and Sunderland this term compare with a draw and defeat last season, so a bonus 5 points in the last fortnight. To survive we have got to keep doing that which is why the period until the end of December is so crucial.

Next up will be WBA followed by Middlesborough in another huge week for the Club.

    Points from 17th position: (-1) (Worst: -5)

    Burnley 0 Swans 1 (+3)*
    Swans 0 Hull 2 (-3) (0)***
    Leicester 2 Swans 1 (Same) (0)
    Swans 2 Chelsea 2 (-2) (-2)
    Southampton 1 Swans 0 (Same) (-2)
    Swans 1 Man City 3 (-1) (-3)

    Everton 1 Swans 1 (-2) (-17)
    Swans 5 Crystal Palace 4 (-15)
    Spurs 5 Swans 0 (-15)
    Swans 3 Sunderland 0 (-12)

Last Seasons Points Total - 47pts.

Too emotionally scarred after standing next to the Spurs fans for 90 mins who were chanting "You're f*****g sh.it, you're f*****g sh.it, you're f*****g sh.it"......and they were right!

“Next up will be WBA followed by Middlesborough in another huge week for the Club.”

Those were my words in the last post. Unfortunately, that “huge week for the Club” saw us ship 6 goals in two dismal away defeats which has left the team rooted in the relegation zone for Christmas.

We now have two home fixtures. On Boxing Day we have West Ham followed by Bournemouth on New Years Eve, both of whom will be licking their lips at the prospect of boosting their goal difference.

“We now have two home fixtures. On Boxing Day we face West Ham followed by Bournemouth on New Years Eve, both of whom will be licking their lips at the prospect of boosting their goal difference”

That was my quote after last weeks game. West Ham have done the honours and I would assume Bournemouth, masterminded by the astute Eddie Howe, must be busy organising their New Years Eve Party at The Liberty.

It’s now three straight defeats for the Swans with 10 goals conceded or 4 defeats out of 5 with 15 conceded. Take your pick. The fans did and the resulting boos and chants echoed around The Liberty as police protected the Directors in their VIP seats.
