    I don't get the plastic Leeds fans trophy argument, it carries no weight. I could easily say I 'support' (support in the not really a true supporter, like the majority of Leeds fans on here sense e.g.cheshire) Man Utd, Boca, Milan or Barcelona and suddenly my team would've won about 10 times the amount of trophies Leeds have. Not only that, but they'd have won some in recent years.

    How do you define a "true supporter"? If it's that you're from the place where the club is I find it pretty weak.

    I've seen and heard Leeds fans, and fans of other teams, mock Man Utd fans in the that way- saying they're all from Surrey etc etc.

    Why should someone choose to support any other team than their local team? Ultimately, if too many people do this, the game will die out.

    Whats wrong with supporting a team that you were not bought up near. What about the poor sods that grow up in Wales....

    Why? Anyone who started supporting Leeds in the 70's or early 90's could. If people don't support their local teams but instead support a team they can watch on tele smaller clubs will simply die out, and with that, so will football. If everyone in Torquay (random example) supported one of the big 4/5, Torquay would go out of existence. Leeds shouldn't have an issue with this as it's a very large city with only one major team. The reason you do is because such a vast number of your fans are from outside of Leeds, within Leeds there seems to be very little passion or support for the club. Certainly see more Man Utd & Liverpool shirts being worn in Leeds than Leeds shirts these days.
