Rumour has it that Valley Express coaches have been ditched in favour of a single Smart Car for tonight's cliffhanger - and that there is still room in the two seater to accompany Seb Lewis.

One thing that struck me sitting in the Lower West on Saturday was this - how can our players take Russell Slade seriously when he is in the physical condition that he is? Does Slade participate in the training, and is he at the front or even the back of the group in the cross country runs? Slade in his XXXL kagool struck quite a contrast to Scunthorpe's manager Graham Alexander, who looked like what he is, a much younger & hungrier recently retired ex pro who still looked fit enough in his suit to get amongst it on the training pitch.

Tonight's game is a laughable irrelevance. Many of us have fond memories of Colchester away from earlier this year, when our players collectively disappeared up their own arses during the game, and Karel disappeared in a laundry basket after it.

If Charlton losing tonight 6-0 hastens Slade's departure then, sorry Seb...bring it on.
