I've heard* that Landers Development's road building division have signed a deal with Liebherr cranes and construction due to the need to have a new motorway built between Southampton and Wembley. Authorities agree that clearly Saints are Marching In and On and no doubt will be making many, many trips to Wembley from now on. It's now't to do with football. * I may not have
Try this joker up the road from me. Makes Ali al-Faraj look like Bill Gates. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...left-them-staring-into-oblivion-a7548206.html
Quite a funny thought that the Saints media/PR team are absolutely chuffed with how happy the fans are right now. They released the Sims news, then the Romeu news, the potential partnership with the Chinese and now have the pleasure of detailing our trip to Wembley. But there is still one piece of information that they haven't released, that will bring us all back down to earth. How long is VVD out for?!! I imaging the media department sat around a computer saying "Well I'm not pressing send!"
Claude said that VVD needed to see a specialist, before they would know the full extent of the injury. Hopefully that will be sooner than later.
In fairness neither the £200m or 25% figures have been confirmed from an official source so it's still just speculation at this stage. Would be shocked if they bought just 25% for £200m.
I saw somewhere online that it was 49% for £200 million. No idea the validity of that though but would make more sense then 25% for £200 million.
I doubt it's either of those. £200m would be a takeover, and probably a share in excess of 75%. 25% sounds like the ground floor of a staged takeover to me.
Hey guys... we know the numbers don't stack up, but right now we're gold! Live the dream and tomorrow we'll see its no such nonsense, but hey!!
That's what I got from it too. Remarkably coincidental releasing this statement the day when Saints fans will all be great moods after last night's result! I can see why people feel a little more reassured about her talking of a partnership but there wasn't really much there in the statement. We will have to wait and see.
Agree with Beefy, that's taking the good mood way too far. Just ask any Coventry fan. Personally, if all the checks work out, I'm really happy about this. From the moment she took the reins, it was clear Katharina wasn't going to be as gung-ho as Markus and/or Nicola. But she's still been very astute, and I can't blame her for not throwing her inheritance at Saints like she didn't want any of it. So, in that case, if we want to compete with the Liverpool's, the ManU's and usurp the likes of Everton on the football pitch, which we have seen we are perfectly capable of, then we need this partnership. It makes enormous sense, and puts Southampton in the homes of a still largely untapped market.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...on-line-Lander-Sports-Chinese-investment.html Article from Mail suggesting that the club is valued at £200 million....don't know whether true or not, but does show how figures can get bandied about and mean different things to different people.
