He thought it'd be the last chance on the big stage to show his new suitors that he's "up for sale". c***.
I've long thought Clattenburg an excellent referee. Time after time he has proven his quality. Against The Arse, he was probably unsighted for the hand of a **** goal but certainly erred dramatically with the Gibbs challenge. Does anyone seriously think he'd been bought or was it just a ****ing horrible off day?
What's our win record with other refs? He usually refs us against the big teams so not sure the win rate means much.
Well said, thought the same myself - the linesman saw the handgoal and, for **whatever reason**, thought it was a good goal, Clattenburg awarded it on the strength of his lino's interpretation. The yellow card for the assault from Gibbs was unforgiveable though, it's often hard to spot stuff in real time but ..... play it in slowtime/quicktime/anytime you want, it was a red all day long. ** while were on ......... it always gets my goat that the officials aren't allowed to explain their decisions in the cold light of day, I'd LOVE to hear from the lino's mouth how he thought that was a goal.
This week's podcast seems appropriately titled.. or was until he back-flipped for the rest of the season!
