This has been strangely absent from the news that I've seen - 600 hurt, 4 critical: http://app.football-italia.net/?ref...t#article/footballitalia-103625&menu=news-all
Well it was a really good game, attacking philosophy over came a defence one. Having said that Juventus gave it a go early on, but Ronaldo's first goal change the complexion of the game.
Certainly, Juventus is a team build from a solid defence whereas RM are built to attack. Juventus only conceded 27 goals all season, and are a team the pride themselves on their defensive solidity, not that it worked very well last night. Most of the pundit before the game were saying it would be a game against RM attacking strength up against Juventus solid defence. They only conceded 2 goals the whole of the Champions league games, up until last night.
Since when did not conceding equate to a team having a defensive philosophy? So when they comprehensively beat Barcelona and "the world's best strike force" without conceding over 180 minutes, then that was defensive was it? And even if we did follow your logic then the fact that they conceded 4 last night would mean that they had an attacking philiosophy. You can't have it both ways. And then there's the FACT that they lined up with a genuine strike partnership, with another striker on left wing, and a pure attacking midfielder in centre mid and the further FACT that right from the off they were the team doing all the attacking until Zidane clearly did something brilliant at half time and they subsequently battered them. If you watch that first half and claim Juve are the ones with a defensive philosophy then it's frankly laughable. And you mention they only conceded 27 all season but ignore that they scored 77, 1 fewer than Liverpool and their lauded attacking play, same number as Arsenal and only 9 fewer than media darlings Spurs who scored 13 of those in the last week of the season...
It's suspected that the stampede was caused by a prank. Jesus H: http://app.football-italia.net/?ref...t#article/footballitalia-103667&menu=news-all
He should have been shot dead by a police marksman, just to stop other idiots doing the same thing in the future.
